Helium refrigeration around 2K
Tailor-made refrigerators for large-scale superconductor projects
Designed for research centers using superconductors and operating them at the temperature where helium is superfluid (around 2 K) for their experiments, our refrigeration systems are tailored to the needs of the customer's applications. They include the helium refrigerator capable of delivering helium in the required form at 4.5 K (liquid, supercritical) to feed the user application such as magnets, and to lower the helium temperature to 2 K or 1.8 K by pumping on the helium in order to reach the required pressure of 30 mbar abs. or 15 mbar abs. as appropriate.
Our refrigerators are also able to provide the necessary concomitant refrigeration at intermediate temperatures (80 K...). They can also include the fluid storage and distribution system and purification systems if required.
Key benefits
- High performance: customized systems with optimum efficiencies allowing a reduction in operating costs
- Reduced maintenance: through the choice of high reliability components requiring reduced maintenance
- Reduced operating shifts: by automating the operation of the units in standard daytime hours and not in shifts (3x8h...)
Main technical characteristics
- Lubricated screw compressors
- Lubricated screw compressors in sub-atmospheric operation
