CUST contract signed

Air Liquide and Astrium as the prime contractor have signed the contract for the technology demonstration programme « CUST » (Cryogenic Upper Stage Technologies).

Established under the European Space Agency’s Future Launchers Preparatory Programme (FLPP) it aims to develop technologies for the control of the propellants in a microgravity environment (movement, quantity, pressure, temperature). The mission of Air Liquide Advanced Technolgies’ teams will be to create and validate cryogenic technologies for a future reignitable upper-stage for Ariane.
